You would do very well to get £2500 for it returned to standard with the relatively high mileage. I paid £4500 for my 2007/07 107 Urban 5 door with only 13000 miles on it from the trade back in April 2012 and as soon as I drove it off the forecourt it was worth £3500 privately.

I sold it for £2800 privately with a nice set of alloys and fairly new tyres in June 2015, it only had 14700 miles on it when I sold it. Granted the mileage doesn't make it worth any more just makes it more desirable.

Therefore you might find it hard to sell for what you want, in my estimation it's worth about £1500 - £ 2000 in standard condition and £ 2500 fully modified.

You will never, or find it very hard to, sell a modified car.

Privite you may get 2k if our lucky but mind the mileage... new engine or not people may not go near it just because its high mileage.

Back to standard our right better chance of selling and at a higher value than a modded one

I guess modifications make the car more personal which is not to everyone's taste but things like alloy wheels make the car more desirable surely. I certainly think I got more for my car or at least sold it quicker because it had alloy wheels.

The alloy wheels was the only modification mine had...

Things like the heated mirrors, leccy window s and central locking will stay, maybe also the rear tints... The rest is easy enough to put back

I'm hoping the thought of a new engine/clutch etc will keep her going for another 6-7 years

Just need to sort out the front bumper, get a parcel shelf and tidy her up
